Charles Darwin
Charles Robert Darwin was born in Sherewsbury on 12 February 1809 and died on 19 April 1882 where attended at Shrewsbury School and he intended to take holy orders. He participated in the expedition with the ship Beagle in 1831.
In 1839 married his cousin, in 1854 he devoted himself to the "study of evolution" and in 1859 composed the: "On the origin of species by means of natural selection".
In 1868 was published "The Variations of Animal and Plants" under domestication end in 1871 The descent of Man where he stated we are beings living as the others; then the man descended from monkeys.
In this book stated that:
-Individuals have variations.
-The scarcity of food forces them to struggle for existence.
-Individuals with advantageous variations are more likely to reach adulthood, breed and transmit these changes to their offspring.
